I wake up to long whiskers in my face, a cold wet nose snuffling around my hands, paws clawing through the blanket trying to get my attention. Like a child, he whimpers quietly. wanting me to get up and feed him, I stand and he circles my feet looking up at me, the whimpering begins to be louder as I take my time getting to the kitchen to feed this baby boy you would assume. I go back to bed after i had fed him, later on he comes in to thank me with the purring and smooching around my face. His soft fur brushing against my eyelids and he curls up in a ball and sleeps next to me, like a baby...

When i eat my dinner I immediately hear trotting claws along the lino, i brace myself as i know 'food' is what he wants. As he sits there admiring the hot, steamy soup i somewhat feel sorry for him. His purrs and subtle smothers that begin to get closer to me show me that i need to put everything down and pay attention to the demanding feline he is. I know what he thinks, how he wishes he was.. If only he had thumbs his life would be heaven..

Heaven is his home now, after a long and steady life of bossing our family around and running our home. After 14 years of eating, sleeping and leaving his furry remains all over the furniture. Heaven is where he now lives. He;s happy now, he can have thumbs and hands, showers and good food. Biscuits just didn't do the job.
