Social networking sites such as Facebook are endangering NZ teenagers

I completely agree with this theory as i found from 2010 statistics about social media that more then 28000 Facebook users are under the age of 13 in New Zealand. How can a vulnerable 13 year old understand the difference between friend or foe? There are so many online predators, data/identity thieves and viruses out there nowadays, advertisements can be so believable and it could just take that one click for Facebook to lead to an online war zone. Especially with cyber-bullying at a quickly growing rate in NZ, teenagers don't understand the consequences of cyber-bullying. If you pick on the wrong person it could lead to terrible things, lots of teenage lives have been lost due to cyber-bullying. Some people don't even know that they're doing it and 'follow the crowd'.
